What ages does EMD accept?

EMD offers programs for dancers ages 2 through 18.

• Creative Movement: Ages 2–3

• EMD Academy: Ages 4–6

• EMD Foundation: Ages 7–12

• EMD Foundation: Ages 13+

• EMD Company: Audition Required

Does my dancer need previous experience?

No. Recreational and Foundation programs welcome beginners as well as dancers with previous experience. Placement is based on age and skill level when appropriate.

How do I register?

Registration is completed online through our Parent Portal. Once your annual registration fee is submitted, you can enroll in available classes.

Can my dancer try a class first?

Yes. We offer one complimentary trial class for new students. Visit our Book a Trial Class page to request your preferred class.

What should my dancer wear?

Comfortable dance attire or athletic clothing is acceptable for trial classes.

Hair should be secured away from the face, and dancers should bring a water bottle.

Specific dress code requirements will be provided after enrollment.

What dance styles does EMD offer?

• Jazz

• Hip-Hop

Additional specialty classes may be introduced throughout the season.

When is tuition due?

Tuition is due on the 1st of each month.

A late fee is applied after the grace period outlined in the Tuition & Fees page.

Is the annual registration fee refundable?

No. The annual registration fee is non-refundable.

Does EMD participate in performances?

Yes. Recreational dancers have performance opportunities throughout the season, and Company dancers participate in additional performances and competitions.

How do dancers join EMD Company?

EMD Company is an audition-based program. Information regarding auditions will be announced prior to each season.
